MCO Planning a Fun and Productive 2025

Here’s a sampling of activities that the Morningside Community Organization (MCO) board has planned for residents throughout the rest of the year. There will almost certainly be more activities added over the coming months. Mark your calendars now and stay tuned for more!

Clean-Ups
The Blight Brigade isn’t the only activity we’re organizing to make Morningside a blight-free zone. We’re also scheduling community cleanups at various locations throughout the neighborhood. No matter what your level of physical ability is, you can help make a difference. Those long-handled litter grabbers mean you never have to bend over!

TGI Thursday Happy Hours
Meet and greet neighbors old and new on the first Thursday of each month, from 6-8 p.m. at the Warren Café. The dates for the rest of this year are as follows: May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, November 6.

Bike Rides
Meet up at 10 a.m. at Three Mile-Munich Park on the first Saturday of each month for a leisurely ride to some of the most interesting spots in Morningside and nearby neighborhoods. Back home by noon. Here are the dates: May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2, and September 6.

Summer Sizzler – Saturday, July 12, 1-4 p.m.
It’s back for a third year at Three Mile-Munich Park with all your favorite family fun activities – hot dogs, Tacos Hernandez food truck, DJ Marty Bulger to get us up and dancing the hustle, games for all ages, face painting, and arts and crafts.

MCO Christmas Party – Tuesday, December 9, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Bethany Lutheran Our annual tradition continues with food, music, bingo, and of course our own rendition of “The Twelve Days of Morningside.”
